The 600PS Jaguar XE SV Project 8 has just lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7min 21.23sec, making it the fastest 4-door saloon of production-intent specification around Green Hell.
The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is the most extreme performance road-legal sedan by Jaguar – the subsidiary of the Indian company TATA motors – yet. It has been designed, engineered and hand-assembled by Special Vehicle Operations, abbreviated to SVO. Powered by a supercharged 5.0-litre V8, it is capable of getting from 0 to 60mph in 3.3 seconds and claimed to achieve a top speed of 200mph*…thats 322 km/h.

The incredible time of just 7min 21.23sec is 11 seconds quicker than the previous fastest sedan – the Alfa Romeo Guulia Quadrifoglio – around the 12.9-mile circuit. It also makes the 600PS Project 8 quicker than some of the world’s fastest two-door coupes and supercars, like the Porsche Carrera GT, Ferrari 488 GTB and the Dodge Viper ACR from 2009.
