Paying homage to the Corvette Racing C7.R racecars, Chevrolet have rolled out the special-edition, limited-production and track-ready 2016 Corvette Z06 C7.R.
Only 650 units have been built for the global market of which 23 units will be brought to the Middle East. All C7.R Editions will be equipped with the Z07 Performance Package with carbon ceramic brakes, and a serialized vehicle identification number.
The C7.R Edition – available on both the coupe and convertible models with 3LZ trim – will be offered in Corvette Racing’s signature yellow or black, with matching exterior and interior accents, and C7.R Edition graphics package. Other associated aesthetic changes and additions include:
- Yellow brake callipers
- Black wheels with yellow accent stripe and Corvette Racing-logo center caps
- Grilles and vents finished in Spectra Gray Metallic
- Jet Black leather interior with sueded microfiber accents on the instrument panel and doors
- Special indoor car cover with C7.R graphics.
- Corvette Racing sill plates
- Yellow contrast stitching throughout the cabin
Obviously, it will also include performance-focused elements such as:
- Z07 Performance Package with Brembo carbon ceramic brakes and Michelin PS Cup 2 tires
- Visible carbon-fibre ground effects package
- New visible carbon-fibre hood section
- Sueded microfiber-trimmed Competition Sport Seat, steering wheel and shifter
- Carbon-fibre interior trim with a high-gloss finish
The Brembo carbon ceramic-matrix brake rotors will improve braking distances and longevity, while improving handling dynamics thanks to reduced unsprung weight. The Z07 package also includes adjustable front and rear aero components for improving aerodynamic downforce and Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 tires for race-car like grip.
Additional updates for the 2016 Corvette Z06 include a new, available front curb view parking camera, power-cinching hatch/trunk latch, new available design packages etc.
