Appropriately named Lamborghini Centenario, Italian supercar manufacturer celebrated 100 years of its Ferruccio Lamborghini’s 100th birth anniversary by creating the a unique supercar which they showcased at the Geneva Motor Show.
Here is a video of the limited-production supercar taking on the curvatures of the Nardo Technical Center in Italy.
Only 40 units of the Centenario will be built with a parity split between coupes and roadsters. It looks to be based on the compacted body of the Huracan with the power from a uprated version of its bigger brother the Aventador. The maximum horsepower figure the naturally aspirated V12 generates is 759 bhp – which incidentally is the most powerful car Lambo has ever made. It also uses carbon-fibre monocoque and body.
The Centenario is claimed to hit 100 km/h from a standstill in 2.8 seconds and will accelerate to top whack of 217.48 miles per hour. The Aventador with its 691 bhp engine is capable of achieving these performance figures so its only logical that the Centenario should beat the big bad bull.
