I’m a little amazed how these ‘accelerator pedal gets stuck’ incidents mostly happen in the U.S. What next, aliens land or a volcano erupts? Oh wait! That’s already happened as well.
My conclusion being, either defunct automobiles are being exported to the U.S. or the government’s safety standards and quality checks are down a few notches.
In any case people are getting hurt and something has to be done.
The lady in this particular incident demonstrated some professional racer-like driving antics and needs to be recruited to Formula 1, if not replace the Caterham F1 team altogether. She escaped the ordeal unhurt.
