Want two perspectives on the TATA owned spanking new 2014 Range Rover then take a look at these snaps.
The design language on the Range Rover Evoque resonates in it’s big brother and we can see some borrowed parts from the Ford Explorer as well.
Slanted headlamps may indicate a more streamlined body, but we wouldn’t call it more aerodynamic until we see the official coefficient of drag figure.
The spread of the all-aluminium body panels indicate that the Range might offer a third row, this would mean the cabin would accommodate upto 7 adults. The extensive use of aluminium would also mean a reduction in weight and improvements in both fuel economy and acceleration.
Petrol petrol engines will make it to all shores but don’t expect diesel motors for the US or the GCC, yet. Instead, the supercharged 5.0-litre V8 should carry over, as well as a new 3.0-litre V6, possibly.
One site’s commenter said, “A 5,700lb SUV with no US diesel option? Fail. Even Mercedes sells their GL with an oil-burner.” Kind-of makes sense, don’t u think.
