Reverend Francis Cooke, the resident pray-maker at Bentley Motors opened up a ‘Dear John’ a few days before Christmas.
The management’s argument was that his presence and his associated duties might offend some of the personnel at the multi-faith organization. This kind of reminisces the “washing hands” incident that involved Pontius Pilate, about 2000 years ago.
In the words of Rev. Cooke “The reason I have been given is that there are too many people of different faiths to warrant a Christian chaplain.” Cooke pointed out that no complaint had ever been brought against him, and that he helps all faiths at the factory – not just Christians.”
Bentley stated that “We have a wide range of faiths and want to take a multi-faith outlook. It would be very difficult to have somebody from each faith.”. This makes sense considering that there as so many denominations in Christianity itself.
The Bentley staff at Crewe have issued a petition to reinstate the MAN OF Christian GOD. Amen…
