Al Futtaim Honda has just unveiled a special edition Honda Civic for the UAE. The new aerodynamically-enhanced sedan adorns matte-black exteriors finish, complemented by numerous black-themed accessories and a few red highlights.
Following the addition of the 1.6L Honda Civic in December 2016, Honda has given their mid-range Civic a visual upgrade and a sinister personality. In addition to the matte-black exterior finish, the special edition Civic also features numerous accessories to match the black them including brake calliper painted in red, black painted 16-inch alloy wheels rims, red wheel centres with the red Honda logo, an aero package available with the 1.5T RS model like front and side spoilers; and a proper rear wing. Part of the redecoration include a side step, centre console illumination, a red Honda logo in the front and rear, black door visor and tail lights with a smoke effect.
This variant will only be available with the 2.0-litre inline 4-cylinder engine that makes a healthy 158 bhp at 6500 rpm and 187 Nm at 4200 rpm. You can start up the car from a distance using the remote control engine starter or simply leave the key in you pocket or purse, enter conveniently using Smart Entry and simply push the red started button. That’s not it, when you exit the vehicle, it even locks itself as you walk away.
The dashboard and centre console gets piano black garnish with a blue ambient lighting, while the driver gets to steer a proper thick-rimmed 3-Spoke leather steering wheel. In terms of entertainment, you can utilize the 7-inch touchscreen display, of which many of the functions can be controlled via voice including the instructions for the 4 Speakers (+ Tweeter ) audio system that can also take input from an HDMI Jack / USB Jack or Bluetooth. Other convenience features include a sunroof and a dual zone air-conditioner with rear vents and cruise control. The exterior is prepped with daytime running lights, halogen foglights and LED side turn signal indicators on the door mirror.
In terms of safety, this Honda Civic also features rear parking sensors, ABS with Electric Brake Force Distribution, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with Traction Control, Hill Start Assist. It also gets 6 Airbags, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Emergency Stop Signal, a Brake Over Ride System, a ECU Immobilizer and ISO-FIX mounting points for the childseats. Honda LaneWatch™ is also present here, providing you a glimpse of your blind spot as you indicate to change lanes.
