The covers came of the fancy, new Subaru WRX Concept at the NYIAS. However, we have little information about the next-gen car from the auto-manufacturer Subaru; at this point the concept is just a design statement.
We really like the family LED treatment to the lamps both upfront and at the rear. (Not sure whether the 3-stripes at the rear meant whether the sports good manufacturer Adidas had anything to do with it). The Concept has a carbon-fibre roof – this lowers the centre of gravity and reduces weight. The car also gets a hood scoop to facilitate air being fed into what probably is a new turbocharged engine and intercooler. The rear gets quad-tailpipes to exit fuming horses; after their work is done.
Besides AWD (assumed) the concept the car also has 20-inch BBS wheels wrapped around in 245-section Dunlop tyres all around for improved traction. However, does semi-slick rubber make sense on a 9/10 Group-B rally car? Not sure about that.
We won’t say much more about the way it looks. Why don’t you do that for us.
