Honda MENA have announced the refreshed 2018 Honda City for the UAE, Middle East and Africa. Honda City, the winner of the 2016 MECOTY for the ‘Best Small Sedan’, now has received more premium and sportier conforming to Honda’s New Design Direction and gets three grades, DX, LX and EX.
The 2018 Honda City gets a restyled front fascia with the new honeycomb grille and new LED Day Time Running Lights (DRL) and new rear tail lights, standard in all grades. While the EX grade gets front fog lamps also. Another new addition is the ‘Diamond Cut’ styled alloy wheels. Other exterior features include Chrome Front Grille, Power Door Mirrors and Shark Fin Antenna (only in LX and EX) and rear parking sensors exclusive to the EX grade.
New for the 2018 Honda City is black interior color. New cabin features include Rear Wide View Camera, a “bright” illuminated vanity mirrors and map lights. While, LX and EX grades get Touch Screen Display Audio, which adopts a smart phone style interface and also mirrors your smart phone when you connect it with a HDMI cable, cruise control and Bluetooth HFT phone controls on the steering wheel. Exclusive features on the EX grade are engine start stop button, smart entry, paddle shifters, 60/40 rear seat split and auto air conditioning.
All the three grades are powered with a 1.5L SOHC i-VTEC petrol engine which delivers a claimed fuel economy of 20km/l, while delivering maximum power of 118 hp @ 6600 rpm followed by a maximum torque of 145 N-m @ 4600 rpm. This engine is mated to the new generation CVT transmission.
The 2018 City’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body enhances self-protection while mitigating damage to other vehicles in the event of a collision hereby enhancing occupant protection. Other safety features include, ABS, Vehicle Stability Assist, Emergency Brake Assist and Electronic Brake Force Distribution.
Available exterior colours include White Orchid Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Carnelian Red Pearl, and the newly introduced Nocturne Night Metallic. As for the cabin you have the choice between Ivory and Black which is new to EX Grade.
