UAE motorists have faced a 10% hike in the price petrol for the month of May 2016.
From May 1, ‘Special’ grade petrol (95 octane) was priced at AED 1.67 per litre, up 10.6% from the last months’ AED 1.51 per litre
Super (98 octane) is currently, and will continue to be priced at AED 1.78 per litre, till the end of the month, which is up some 9.9% from the April’s AED 1.62 per litre.
The price of E Plus gasoline (91 octane), been priced at AED 1.60 per litre, again up some 11.11% from April’s AED 1.44 per litre.
Meanwhile, truckers and industries won’t feel co much of a crunch as Diesel, which used to retail for AED 1.56 per litre until April 30, now retails at AED 1.60, a hike of only 2.56%.
