SsangYong Motor Company plans to showcase the SsangYong XAVL concept SUV at the 2017 International Geneva Motor Show.
XAVL is an iteration of the XAV concept which was presented at the Frankfurt motor show 2015. Inspired by the classic Korando model of the 1990s, XAVL – an abbreviation for the phrase ‘the eXciting Authentic Vehicle Long SUV – presents itself as a muscular SUV concept that combines advanced convenience and MPV-like practicality.
XAVL can accommodate upto 7 passengers and provides a vast interior space with an user-friendly interface, that includes connected car technology and digital display(s). XAVL is also equipped with an array of aids for pedestrians as well as the driver and passengers safety.
The SsangYong XAVL concept SUV will be powered by both petrol and new clean-burning diesel engines.
From the pictures we learn that…
The XAVL will feature LED headlamps and it shall have side-mirror mounted indicators. It will ride on large 5-spoke alloy wheels with a diameter of atleast 20-inches.
While, the interiors will feature a BMW-like tablet-style infotainment screen along with an iDrive-like rotary controller; with an auxiliary screen between the speedometer and tachometer. And besides the interesting-but-obvious toggle switches at the lower centre console, it also seems to have an interesting UX interface, as mentioned before. It also looks to have multiple illuminated strips on the dashbaord and door panels which may pose as ambient lighting fixtures.
