The McLaren P1 was first unveiled to the world as a design study at the Paris Motor Show in September 2012. Rumour has it that the production version of the car will clad a carbon-fibre skin and might employ the same turbocharged 3.8-litre V8 engine as on the MP4-12C but will put out a more prodigious power output, somewhere in the range of 800 horses; we might even be looking at a 800 Nm of torque as well. The P1 will have a limited production run of 500 units.
I wonder what Ferrari and the F70 a.k.a. the Enzo-successor have to say about this!
