This is the first official teaser pic of the McLaren MP4-12C Spider.
The convertible will borrow much of the architecture from the coupe including the carbon fibre MonoCell chassis as well as the twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 engine that has been recently uprated to 616 bhp.
The MP4-12C can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.1 secondsand reach 200 kmph in 8.8 seconds, while it has been credited with a 330 kmph top speed. Whether the Spider with its added weight and probable reduced air cheating ability, will match these figures is yet to be seen.
Mclaren will reveal more details on the 3rd of July.
