Italian supercar manufacturer, Lamborghini have confirmed that their super SUV, the Urus will be priced at €170,000 or £135,000 or $207,000 or AED 775,000, making it the cheapest in the 3 supercar line-up.
The Urus was first shown as a concept in the Beijing Motor Show earlier this year.
It will use the PL73 platform and the underpinnings of the next-gen Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne, VW Touareg and the production version of Bentley’s EXP 9 F concept.
Engineers aim to keep base kerb weight at around 4,400 lbs or 1,996 kg, helped by the extensive use of carbon-fibre and aluminum.
The Urus will be powered by Audi’s home-grown 4.2-litre V8 force-fed by twin turbos, with a maximum output of 600 bhp (447 kW / 608 PS).
Expect 0 to 100 kmph runs to be clocked in the low 4 second range and a sub-300 kmph top speed.
The Lamborghini LM002 might have been called “Rambo Lambo”, the Urus however will be much liked by Christian Bale …ahem Batman! We’d like to think so…
