Infiniti – the posh arm of Nissan – have inaugurated their region’s first certified pre-owned showroom for cars on Shk Zayed Road, Dubai, UAE, alongside the existing IREDI (Infiniti Retail Environment Design Initiative) new car centre.
This showroom will cater to the growing second hand market for luxury cars in the UAE. This is also an initiative by the Japanese company to help regulate the second hand market which, in many instances, are plagued by the lack of proper inspection for the cars on sale, non-availability of warranty, higher finance rates, mileage tampering etc.
As a result, Infiniti has taken the responsibility of delivering customers higher levels of quality by filtering through the cars bought by them and ensuring that only vehicles that meet a certain are sold. The prerequisites Infiniti will follow while they absorb second hand vehicles are, but not limited to the following:
1. The cars should have run for less than 80,000 kilometres.
2. There should be no recorded damage to the chassis
3. The cars should be less than 5 years old.
In addition all vehicles that qualify, must pass a 145-point inspection.
With the purchase of a certified pre-owned vehicle from Infiniti, customers will also be offered the following:
1. 1 Year/30,000 km warranty
2. 24hr Roadside assistance
3. Paint Protection
Infiniti’s team is also keen on trading in cars of other luxury brands and encourages the potential customers to do so. Non GCC-spec cars, such as US-spec, Euro-spec and Japanese-spec vehicles, will also be absorbed by the company, but will not be sold by them.
