A Guinness World Record was made when 19 people stuffed themselves into 2016 Tesla Model S P100D, thanks to the initiative by Carl Reese, Deena Mastracci, the Tom Delgado Family, the Ryan Sorensen Family and friends.
However, the Guiness Book of World Records guidelines requires participants have to be at least five feet tall (1.525) and over 18 years old, so the kid in the frunk will not count. Even so the record stands at 20, for most people in a Smart Car.
Carl Reese is a Guinness World Record holding professional endurance driver who holds several world record including crossing the USA in an electric vehicle with the shortest charging time, where Reese drove from Los Angeles to New York City in a Tesla Model S. The total charging time was 12 hours 48 minutes and 14 seconds, from 16 – 19 April 2015. He also holds the record for driving from California to New York in just 57 hours and 48 minutes in an electric vehicle.
Carl’s next challenege code named : #ProjectNINE is scheduled Feb 2017, where he will attempt to break a motorcycle World Record.
This may seem like an incredible feat, only if they knew how people travel by train in Mumbai on a daily basis!
