We have seen the interiors of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class before, but this is the first look at the exteriors. This particular model seems to be fitted with the AMG body kit.
It appears that although some details have changed, like the hood having more pronounced creases etc. much of the silhouette remains the same. Motoring websites say that many of the styling cues like the “massive grille and vertical LED taillights” have been borrowed from the 2007 F700 Concept, but frankly I don’t see the resemblance. In fact, the grille reminds one of that on the W220, the previous to current model from 1999, albeit larger. The other element of familiarity is seen in the complex arrangement of LED DRLs and LED headlamps, which can be found on the new GL-Class SUV. At the rear, you have these tiny, slim exhaust outlets (not visible here).
Rumour has it that the new S-Class is equipped with some fancy advanced self-park feature, but we’d have to wait and see what it brings, upon its release.
That being said, the interiors are by far one of the most exquisite renderings of art, I’d love to bury myself in there. Enjoy the pics!
