Dubai’s Traffic Police has revealed a new list of the top driving offenders to mark the GCC traffic week. The notorious 9 are as follows:
- Taking first place is an Emirati driver with a staggering 477 traffic offences racking up a mind-boggling Dh280,000 total fine. #needforspeed
- Coming in at second is a Syrian driver with 288 offences. #lateforworkagain
- At third is a Bangladeshi female driver, who collected 257 offences. It is surprising, considering that women drivers are generally cautious. #forgotthekids
All together, the three top offenders have piled up 1,022 traffic offences in total.
- An Egyptian driver takes 4th position with 245 violations. #redlightmeansgo
- Emirati woman driving in at 221 offences. #saleatprada

- An Indian man is at 7 with 216 offences #socialmediaonthego
- Eighth place goes to a second Emirati woman with 212 offences #selfietime

The traffic police stated “We are preparing these lists with the aim of chasing those drivers who have accumulated large fines and have not paid them in time although we have sent them many notifications. The department has frozen the traffic file of those who have repeatedly ignored our requests to pay their fines,”
Just so you guys know, the hashtags are real-world reasons for breaking the rules, but they may or may not have any relation to the mentioned driver, their nationality, their intent or the organization etc.
