Continuing their very fabulous tradition, Dubai Police have added the Nissan Patrol NISMO, yet another special vehicle to their fleet of luxury and ultra-exclusive cars. And from the looks of it, it was born to sport the green and white livery.
The Nissan Patrol NISMO is the performance-inspired version of the popular SUV and is powered by the same 5.6 liter V8 ngine, but hand tuned engine by Nissan Takumis – the highest skilled Nissan engineers – to give an uprated power output of 428 horsepower. There is also a torque improvement over 70% rev-range.
Typically a Nissan Patrol is aesthetically helped by NISMO® 22″ RAYS® forged-alloy wheels and signature body kit with a segment first Zero-Lift aerodynamics on the outside and restyled interior with the help of red piping and contrast stitching on the upholstery and plenty of Nismo badging. Dynamically its is helped by a NISMO® tuned suspension which utilizes ‘Bilstein’ shock absorbers. Customized body reinforcements for precision steering and accompanying that is a sport tuned power steering.
With the addition of the Nissan Patrol NISMO will see the implementation of a new, innovative road safety service called ‘Automated Collision Detection and Smart Response’ – the first of its kind in the Middle East. It is capable of sending an autonomously alert to Dubai Police’s General Department of Transport and Rescue in the event of a collision or accident that results in a rapid deceleration of the vehicle.
The new Nissan’s SmartCar app, jointly developed with Nissan’s strategic partner Bright Box Middle East, uses exclusive Etisalat M2M SIM Cards to provide point to point communications between the vehicle and the police. Nissan’s SmartCar application is said to be quite popular among Nissan Maxima and Patrol owners too, allowing them to access features including remote vehicle start and air conditioning controls, control of the door locks, the horn, headlights and windows. SmartCar app also allows owners to track their vehicle’s physical location in real-time from anywhere in the world.
As part of Dubai Police fleet, the Nissan Patrol NISMO will join its sibling the 2017 Nissan GT-R ‘Premium Edition’ and many other fantastic rides such as the Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FF, Audi A8, McLaren MP4-12C, Aston Martin One-77 and the Lamborghini Aventador,
