Earlier today, the 2017 Nissan Patrol V6 made its global debut in Oman. The SUV will be forming the tail end of the current Patrol range replacing the detuned 320 bhp V8 model.
The new Patrol 4L V6 has been designed and tested in the region to meet all types of terrain and temperature conditions and is promised to deliver the same off-road and on-road capabilities. The V6 engine, which has been borrowed from the Nissan Xterra, is claimed to deliver best in class power in the V6 category with 275 horsepower and 394 Nm, offering offers 12% more torque in the driving range than the competition while retaining the V8’s towing capacity. The Patrol V6 also weighs less, hence is more fuel efficient thereby lowers ownership costs.
Available exclusively in the Middle East from September 2016, the Patrol V6 is identical in design to the Patrol V8 and will be available in both XE and SE grades, each with many optional extras. Both models will benefit of new standard specifications such as powered 3rd row seats and when equipped with the Nissan Smart Car Application, the MY17 Patrol is claimed to be the most connected car in its segment (available in the UAE and gradually expanding across the region).
The new Patrol V6 will be available in 7 variations including the popular Platinum grade. Prices will range between USD 47,500 (AED 174,325 approx.) and USD 69,500 (AED 255,065 approx. ) in the GCC. Check with your local dealer for country-specific prices.
