2017 Cadillac XTS Now Available In Middle East Showrooms

The 2017 Cadillac XTS, the fullish-size by the American automaker that wears a wreathed badge, is now available in all showroom in the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries.

The familiar sharp-edge exterior of the 2017 Cadillac XTS offers more interior space than midsize luxury cars and is comparable to full-size sedans, particularly in the rear seat area, where it has 1,016 mm (40 inches) of rear legroom – 4 inches more than its rivals. And as for trunk space 509 L (18 cubic feet) is close to class leading. Cadillac says, you can fit five or more suitcases there.

The 2017 Cadillac XTS can be had in either of 9 exterior colors – Red Passion Tintcoat, Dark Adriatic Blue Metallic, Crystal White Tricoat, Radiant Silver Metallic, Black Raven, Stellar Black Metallic, Phantom Grey Metallic, Deep Amethyst Metallic and Bronze Dune Metallic.

The XTS’s cabin has been rendered in signature Cadillac style with use of authentic materials and good craftsmanship. The Vsport models feature a full leather interior with microfiber sueded headliner, as well as premium wood trim on the steering wheel, console, center stack, instrument panel and door panels.

Seat upholstery comes with Soleil Keisel leather or premium Opus full leather – both perforated – with heated and ventilated also offered.

Cadillac’s infotainment system called CUE use 8-inch LCD screen – with proximity sensing and haptic feedback, which is seamlessly integrated in the top of the central instrument panel. The CUE home page is supposed to mimic that of a smartphone screen, with easy-to-target icons. Capacitive technology allows users to use “swipe,” “pinch” and “spread” gestures.

CUE now also provides phone integration technology with Apple CarPlay, which allows smartphone users to connect with phone apps such as navigation, hands-free text messaging and entertainment through the car screen. Also new is inductive wireless charging.

The Cadillac Twin-Turbo 3.6L V6 is the highlight of the XTS’s powertrain lineup, which is standard on Vsport models, delivering SAE-certified output of 410 horsepower (306 kW) and 369 lb-ft of torque (498 Nm) – making it amongst the most powerful 6-cylinder engines in the segment. The entry-level XTS gets a 3.6L V6 is rated at 304 bhp (226 kW) and 264 lb-ft of torque (355 Nm). Use of lightweight materials have helped reduce overall weight for better efficiency and a more advantageous weight distribution.

The engines are matched with 6-speed automatic transmissions with tap-shift control.
