A bumper, also known as fender is a structure integrated to the front and rear of an automobile used to absorb impact in the event of a collision, thereby protecting occupants and minimizing damage. Previously vehicles used steel bumpers, but nowadays manufacturers prefer to use light-weight materials like plastic or aluminium.
